The ideal candidate for this role is a problem solver with strong programming skills, a strong work ethic, and a strong grasp of technical iOS knowledge. As an iOS Developer, you will need to learn the company's iOS code-base and iOS development processes quickly, and then use your skills and abilities to implement and enhance features and products in our family of iOS apps. This is an entry-level iOS Developer position, with the ability for you to learn about both iOS development and features, and with the ability to grow into a Senior iOS Developer role over time, depending on your skills, impact, and career aspirations. You will have the opportunity to work alongside other iOS developers, designers, backend developers, and project managers in the company, and be entrusted to learn our iOS code-base and contribute to iOS apps fairly quickly. The ideal candidate is capable of working on multiple iOS projects simultaneously, and to be able to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities
* Perform technical design and implementation of complex iOS applications with SWIFT
* Review requirements, wire frames, and designs for technical feasibility, then work with the scrum team to translate these into user stories that can be implemented
* Improve product quality through code reviews, writing effective unit tests, and collaborating with QA to implement automation testing where appropriate
* Communicate effectively with clients and senior management
* Writing clean and efficient codes for iOS applications
* Supporting the entire application lifecycle from concept to design, testing, release and support
* Troubleshooting and bug fixes for applications, to ensure that codes are clean and secure
* Recommending changes and enhancements
* Staying up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols
Qualifications
* Experience developing iOS apps
* 6+ month of iOS development experience using the SWIFT framework
* Demonstrated experience developing iOS applications in a professional setting
* Passionate about mobile development and writing correct, and efficient code
* Solid grasp of iOS networking and REST Web Services
* Understanding of iOS development tools and the development life cycle
* Familiarity with iOS provisioning, and App Store deployment
* Familiarity with agile development methods (Scrum/Kanban)
* Demonstrated experience developing iOS applications in a professional setting
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* You have prior experience as an iOS Developer
* You are familiar with mobile product and design lifecycles
* Experience with iOS frameworks (Eg. Core Data, Core Animation etc.)
* Familiarity with RESTful APIs to effectively integrate iOS applications
* Good understanding of iOS release cycle and familiarity with CI/CD platform and pipelines
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (eg. Git)
* Familiarity with various testing tools
* You are a problem solver with good analytical skills
